Course Description
What are the frequent sources of accidents and injuries in an MRI environment? How can we help prevent these accidents from occurring? Who plays a role in ensuring a safe imaging site?
In this Mastery Course, Tobias Gilk discusses the importance of MR safety and the accidents that can happen if it is not prioritized, as well as the role radiologists play in ensuring a safe environment. Mr. Gilk provides practical information and safety considerations for the real world, and assesses current regulatory and accreditation minimum MRI safety requirements.
Mr. Gilk also highlights recent accidents, describes supervising physician’s obligations to MRI safety, and identifies recommended structures and policies to ensure MRI safety at point of care.
This course is designed for radiologic technologists, radiologists, physicists, and anyone who has a direct role in policies, procedures, and practices related to the safety of patients in the MRI environment.
